The problem with the word Pagan is that it doesn’t have a very clear meaning that is useful or descriptive. It is an umbrella term popularized by Christians to describe non-Christians and carries a connotation of exclusive ethnic religious practices as opposed to the universality (Catholicism) of the Nicene Interpretation.
We reject the use of the pejorative term Pagan and do not identify with it. The term we use for European ethnic and ancestral religions is Gentile Religion rather than Pagan.
The word Pagan has also gained association with more than a few groups we would outright reject on nearly all levels i.e. Wiccans, occultists, witches, and others. These groups will undoubtedly reject us as Pagans as well due to our reformation of Catholic traditions.
We are Romanists.
